Located at the west end of DeKalb County, North Druid Hills is 5 square miles of expanse that stretches across several neighborhoods. It is the area bound by Clairmont Road, the North Decatur CDP, the city of Decatur, Peachtree Creek, the Druid Hills CDP, and Interstate 85. You may reach North Druid Hills through North Druid Hills Road, LaVista Road, or Briarcliff Road.

The community is teeming with residential and mixed-use neighborhoods. Notable in the list of North Druid Hills neighborhoods are Biltmore Acres, Briarcliff Heights, LaVista Park, Mount Briar Woods, Sheridan Court, Woodland Hills, and Executive Park. The latter is considered as one of the first mixed-use communities in Atlanta.

Special mention must be made for Toco Hills, a commercial center surrounded by a residential neighborhood. Most of the houses that were first built in Toco Hills followed a ranch home style in the midst of trees and the woods. The commercial complex in Toco Hills is composed of two shopping hubs. If you fancy shopping, then you better head to this part of North Druid Hills!

Living in North Druid Hills offers you access to a lot of choices for your children’s schooling. Many of the public schools in North Druid Hills – among them, Briar Vista Elementary School, Druid Hills Middle School, and Druid Hills High School – are part of the DeKalb County School System. If you prefer private educational institutions, you may choose from Annunciation Day School, Cliff Valley School, Torah Day School of Atlanta, Temima High School, and more.

You may also relax in nearby parks and recreation areas such as Kittredge Park, LaVista Park, and the 29-acre W.D. Thomson Park.
