This is also the location of an old medical facility – the Old Scottish Rite Hospital – which has now been transformed into a mixed-use complex that features an art gallery, winery, and a community and event center called Solarium.
Craftsman bungalows pepper the entire neighborhood, with most of them built with bricks and front porches. Gentrification has gradually introduced more modern housing structures, but residents still adore the legendary architectural styles that have given Oakhurst its identity.

If you want to get to Oakhurst, you can choose from any of the following major routes: DeKalb Avenue/East College Avenue, Ponce de Leon Avenue, or Memorial Drive. You may also take the MARTA and drop by the East Lake rail station in order to reach Oakhurst.
